Your New Practice.

Windan’ Sea Veterinary Hospital is located in Forster, on the Mid North Coast of NSW, Australia. Established in 2014, we have gone from strength to strength in our exponential growth by remaining at the forefront in the standard of care we provide. 

We are a practice that prides itself on the diligent & determined pursuit of real answers. The patient & the issue at hand does not impact the level of professionalism we provide - every case is investigated thoroughly, every life is treated with dignity.

This commitment to compassionate, quality medicine has seen us become renowned for our breadth of knowledge and service. We also have invested in state of the art equipment to further expand our breadth of service.

We have now reached a point where another Veterinarian is vital to allow us to maintain this high level of service. In fact, the caseload is already there and waiting -

Your Role.

First and foremost, you must be a qualified veterinarian currently licenced to practice in Australia. As outlined in the following sections, we are willing to provide assistance - both financially and otherwise - in relocating to the local area for the right applicant. 

We are seeking a Veterinarian who will come into our practice and be ready to match our passion for our work and our devotion to our clients. A heart-centred approach to the service you provide, tempered by a practical understanding of our client’s needs and circumstances is a must. 

You will be working alongside our fantastic team of vet nurses and clinical support staff, led by Practice Owner & Head Vet, Dr. Amanda Wood. But make no mistake, what we’re after is someone who is willing to collaborate - we are eager to bring fresh ideas to our approach, which could easily develop into future partnership for the right applicant. For recent graduate applicants, Dr. Amanda is also eager to offer mentorship & professional development. 

We can offer memberships for AVA, VIN and a professional development bonus fom $2,500 a year.

Dr. Amanda Wood, a Californian native with qualifications from both San Diego State & Western Universities, relocated to Forster to establish her practice and has found great success, professionally & personally. She has found immense joy in calling Forster home and now wishes to provide another passionate Vet the chance to do the same. 

Your Location

Your new life in Forster will be found a little over 3 hours north of Sydney. It’s an easy half-day drive of mostly mountains, trees & highway. You’ll also only be 2 hours north of Newcastle - a thriving port city - giving your family ample opportunities to enjoy sporting events, arts, culture and entertainment without having to live in the heart of a bustling city. 

You’ll be within easy reach of 15+ beaches, lakes, off-road driving tracks, parks, cycling tracks and more. With a range of primary schools in Forster alone, and a selection of great High Schools in nearby Taree, as well as a combined High School & TAFE campus in nearby Tuncurry, the opportunities for a strong education are close at hand for a growing family. 

The local community sports scene is a must. With Nippers, soccer, rugby league, netball, tennis, cricket and more - the only problem your kids will have is not enough time to try everything!

Your Salary, Expenses & Support.

What we’re offering is not just a salary package - it’s a lifestyle package. 

Along with an attractive annual salary starting at AUD$70,000 - $100,000 depending on experience (with room for long term growth for the right applicant), we are also willing to offer financial support in the following areas:

• Relocation expenses & travel

• Local accommodation until you find permanent residence
